Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Inventory Clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting and storage of parts and supplies in the maintenance parts store. S/He will ensure that the plant parts store remains tidy and the physical count matches the computer system. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design the stockroom work processes and equipment parts structure.
Responsibilities
- Receives shipments from vendors, checking vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated;
- Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies;
- Store items in an orderly way and so they are easily accessible;
- Insure all parts are labeled properly and put away in their designated area;
- Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies within the institutions;
- Maintain records of orders and where the parts are stored using a computerized system (SAP);
- Support and assist the maintenance team in its search for items or information relating there to;
- Prepare parts for upcoming P.M.s according to schedule;
- Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies;
- Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes stock as shipments arrive and maintains inventory records/cycle counting;
- Validate the gaps between the computer system and the manual count;
- Develop capability to assist with maintenance days and operations
- Develop vending capability for site
- Building equipment/parts structure as per Leclerc guidelines
- Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials; Obtains Material Safety Data Sheets as required from vendors;
- Maintains clean and orderly parts room, organizes shelves and work area, ensures that all parts and supplies are adequately labeled and organized;
- Work with project and maintenance team on stockroom and process design
- Provide ideas for improvements related to the activities of its service;
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of maintenance shop environment and inventory control;
- Demonstrates good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer based application (I pad, One Note, SAP, etc.);
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work independently, and maintain a safe work environment;
- Excellent manual dexterity; Strong physical endurance; ability to lift up to 50lbs;
- Ability to stand; walk or sit for long periods of time;
