SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION

 

Under the responsibility of the Director Operations Accounting, the Project Manager – Operations Accounting will supervise the implementation of operations accounting projects and monitor them.

 

 PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Target optimization or automation opportunities on current processes, recommend them and implement them;
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, perform tests and configure in SAP;
  • Ensure the compliance and validity of transaction data in the computer system;
  • Build financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making;
  • Participate in the establishment of relevant KPIs;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the SAP system and identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Be the BI and SAP reference as a super-user;
  • Implement management tools;
  • Standardize our methods and set up procedures for the department;
  • Be a backup for the operations accounting team in the event of departures or unforeseen events;
  • Have a functional analyst role in collaboration with IT;
  • Participate in acquisitions and integration of new entities;
  • Train and onboard new members; 
  • Any other relevant tasks;

 

 SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED

 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics;
  • Have between 3 and 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in finance and control within a multinational company;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset;
  • Knowledge on costing;
  • Knowledge of Excel required;
  • Knowledge of SAP software is an asset;
  • Communication skills;
  • Teamwork and collaboration oriented;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Dynamic and results-oriented;
